Israeli Military Detects Hezbollah-Affiliated Cell of Militants

The IDF forces entered the camp to carry out house-to-house searches for terror suspects and weapons, and dozens of local Palestinian youths answered with rioting.

Palestinian Red Crescent spokeswoman Errab Foqoha told Ma’an news agency the teen succumbed to wounds sustained when he was “shot with live ammunition in the heart”.

“Mohammed Abu Hashash, 17, died after he was shot in the chest during clashes with (Israeli forces) in the al-Fawwar camp”, a statement from the Palestinian health ministry said.

The Israeli army forces stormed the refugee camp later in the day. At least 207 Palestinians have been killed, 140 of whom Israel said were assailants.

Al-Hayat Al-Jadidah and Al-Ayyam said that the Israeli army is working to recruit members of the “Hilltop Youth” terror organization, which is responsible for many terrorist attacks against Palestinian civilians. The Shin Bet said Hezbollah has also attempted to recruit Arab citizens of Israel via pro-Palestinian Facebook pages.

The Israeli army has launched an investigation into an incident where soldiers appeared to throw a stun grenade at a group of Palestinians sitting at a coffee shop.

The occupied territories have witnessed a fresh bout of tensions ever since the Israeli forces introduced restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshipers into the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in the Israeli-occupied East Jerusalem al-Quds in August 2015.

The area around Hebron which also includes Fawwar has been at the center of the IDF’s attention following last month’s attack on an Israeli vehicle by alleged Hamas gunmen, which killed one and injured three others.
