Viguerie: Movement Conservatives Now Leading Trump Campaign
One Clinton campaign official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that throughout staff discussions Wednesday, the consensus was that Trump’s moves shouldn’t change anything in terms of Clinton’s lines of defense.

Several ex-Breitbart representatives and editors warned that Bannon, who was officially brought on as the Trump campaign’s CEO on Wednesday, was a combative, volatile figure who would intensify the Republican nominee’s fraught relationship with the press.
Trump’s call to Conway came the same day Trump also met with Ailes at the same golf club.
Clinton is leading Trump 47.3 percent to 41.2%, according to the Real Clear Politics polling average.
Although Trump claims his popularity with white, working-class voters could translate to victories in states such as Wisconsin, Michigan, Maine or CT, there’s little evidence to back that up.
Manafort will hold onto his title, but Trump’s inner circle of strategists now expands to include two apparently more senior appointees. “But he is still the same man who insults Gold Star families, demeans women, mocks people with disabilities and thinks he knows more about ISIS than our generals”.
Recently Trump made major changes in the leadership of his campaign, and many thought he would continue to make the same kind of off-the-cuff remarks that many found distasteful.
Trump is a staunch gun rights supporter and often talks about the issue on the campaign trail. “We’re going to make sure Donald Trump is comfortable about being in his own skin – that he doesn’t lose that authenticity that you simply can’t buy and a pollster can’t give you”.
Romney says: “Either he’s not anywhere near as wealthy as he says he is (or) there’s a bombshell in Donald Trump’s taxes”.
The third media mogul is Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, Trump’s de facto campaign manager between Corey Lewnadowski’s firing in June and the hire Tuesday of Kellyanne Conway.
As the campaign shake-up neared, campaign aides pointed fingers at each other, the campaign’s pollsters quarreled over strategy and the friction between Trump and Manafort became apparent. He said that, rather than bring them to the USA, he would send supplies and secure their safety at home.
Trump has fallen behind Democratic rival Hillary Clinton in opinion polls nationally and in vital swing states, raising the prospect of a wipeout in the November 8 election that could hurt Republicans in congressional and state races.
Trump’s campaign advisers have sought to refocus him, including through a pair of scripted policy speeches on the economy and terrorism that offered a stark contrast to Trump’s freewheeling style.
Kendal Unruh, a Colorado Republican who led anti-Trump efforts as a delegate at the Republican convention, told the Daily Beast that Trump’s latest decision only “shows that he is somebody who is erratic, impulsive, thin-skinned, and responds to whatever pushback he is getting”.
“When Trump is who he is, he drives general voters away – people he doesn’t already have”, said Tyler, an MSNBC consultant.
“This means a lot to me, and it’s going to be a top priority in a Trump administration”, he said.
A more vigorous Trump purchase is not expected until September. What you hear about him, the image that the media has portrayed up to this point?

It is also reportedly also aimed at marginalising current campaign chairman Paul Manafort, who had encouraged Mr Trump to be less aggressive and to improve his relations with the party hierarchy.
