Trump Spokeswoman, Who Is Not a Doctor, Claims Clinton Has Dysphasia

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s campaign is doubling down on its strategy of casting doubt on the mental and physical health of his opponent Hillary Clinton.

Dysphasia is the impairment of speech due to a brain injury or disease.

But Trump and his campaign have not directly engaged with conspiracy theories, circulated on ultra-right wing blogs and talk shows, that Clinton’s health is badly deteriorating and that the media is complicit in a cover-up. Appearing on MSNBC on Thursday, Trump spokeswoman Katrina Pierson claimed that Clinton suffers from dysphasia, a brain dysfunction that affects a person’s ability to comprehend and formulate language.

“These documents are false, were not written by me and are not based on any medical facts”, Bardack said. Pierson said, alluding to a number of debunked reports about Clinton’s failing health.

According to Pierson, Clinton’s condition stems from a concussion she suffered nearly two year ago.

Pierson cited “specific observations” and Clinton’s time taken off the campaign trail as evidence. “It is something that needs to be addressed”, Pierson maintained despite the fact that Clinton’s doctor did just that when it comes to medical problems.
