Instead, a new Trump emerged on Thursday: a less combative, more inclusive candidate who said he was running to be the “voice for every forgotten part of this country that has been waiting and hoping for a better future” and for those who “don’t hear anyone speaking for them”.
One day after being elevated to the position in Trump’s second campaign overhaul in two months, Kellyanne Conway said the candidate’s struggling White House bid could preserve his “authenticity” and still move past a long string of controversies to focus on issues.
The startling comments might raise some eyebrows. “If you start pivoting, you’re not being honest with people”. John McCain (R – AZ) past year in which he said that that McCain wasn’t a war hero because he was captured.
“I like not to regret anything”, Trump said. “You do things and you say things”.
“I’ve never been politically correct – it takes far too much time, and can often make it more hard to achieve total victory”, Trump remarked. “I don’t see people on social media saying that they support Hillary Clinton. You know after I said that, my poll numbers went up seven points”. “And you know, I was disappointed with John because I think much more work should’ve been done for our veterans”.
Most recently, even many of his fellow Republicans rebuked him for his prolonged feud with the family of a Muslim U.S. Army captain who was killed in the Iraq war.
“I don’t regret anything”, Trump said.
Trump did, however, acknowledge to The New York Times’ Maureen Dowd in April that retweeting an unflattering photo of Texas Sen.
Prior to the purchase, Trump was featured only in advertisements paid for by organizations supporting his candidacy. None of the conversations appeared to be hostile. “It is time for change – what do you have to lose by trying something new?”
He believes many people will back Trump by Election Day even if they now don’t plan to.
Minutes later, Jack Logan told BuzzFeed News that, as a black man, Trump’s words resonated with him. He wore multiple pro-Trump t-shirts.
The choice of Bannon, however, was seen as Trump’s way of thumbing his nose at Republican leaders who have been urging him to tone down the shoot-from-the-hip style of speech he used effectively in the primaries.
“This means a lot to me, and it’s going to be a top priority in a Trump administration”, he said.
According to Pew, the survey found that Trump supporters overwhelmingly believe that life in America is worse than it was 50 years ago “for people like them”.
“I’m a huge Trump supporter”, Anantha said. The National Rifle Association’s political arm has put more than $4 million into anti-Clinton messages.
Asked why he thought he was thrown out, Anantha said, “I do think it’s because I’m brown. There’s no denying that”. Conway said her rise to campaign manager showed Trump valued a more policy-driven approach that would appeal to women and independent voters. It does not make me want to switch to the Democrats’ side because I just – I couldn’t do that. I have worked in business, creating jobs and rebuilding neighborhoods my entire adult life.
