Police are investigating a deadly shooting after a man’s body was found at a Kansas City park.

Kansas City police said shortly after 8 p.m., officers were dispatched to Gregory and Prospect on a shooting call.
A man was pronounced dead at the scene. Another victim is listed in critical condition, while another sustained a non-life threatening injury.
When they arrived, officers found a man who said he had been in an altercation with another person when a shooting occurred. Those victims were taken to an area hospital.
A second child at the scene had witnessed the incident but wasn’t shot.

Investigators were not searching for suspects, Thompson said.
