Sister accused of killing twin arrested on DWI charges in NY

Duval was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of.26 percent, among other traffic violations.

The twins gained attention in June when an argument between the sisters in Maui, Hawaii led to their vehicle driving off a cliff and resulting in the death of Alexandria’s sister, Anastasia.

Alexandria is due in court in Stamford on August 23.

Alexandria Duval, a former Palm Beach County, Florida, yoga studio owner accused of killing her twin sister in Maui in June, was arrested in NY on Monday on charges of drunken driving.

According to WBNG News, 37-year-old Alexandria Duval was pulled over after she drifted and nearly struck a police vehicle.

Duval, who has family in the area, continued to swerve as she drove too close to another vehicle, officials said. Information on her lawyer wasn’t immediately available.

The sisters were traveling on a highway in May when their Ford Explorer crashed into a rock wall and plunged about 200 feet.

Duval was charged with second degree murder after a fight broke out between her and her sister while driving, causing the auto plummet down a Maui cliffside.

Police said that Duval was taken to the Delaware County Jail and was being held in lieu of $5,000 bail or $10,000 property bond.

The twins ran two popular Twin Power studios in Palm Beach County, Florida, from 2008 to 2014 before they changed their names from Alison and Ann Dadow.

Her next court date on the misdemeanor count is set for Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016.
