Cult Channel 4 game show Deal or No Deal will embark on a tour of the United Kingdom as Channel 4 says a fond farewell to the original studio version of the show following a final run this autumn, after nearly 3000 episodes and more than a decade on United Kingdom screens.
“Needless to say I’m hugely grateful to Jay Hunt and Channel 4 for this massive vote of confidence in my ability to create popular TV shows”.
Speaking to Somerset Live a year ago, after selling his Bristol home, Mr Edmonds did not know what the future held for the show.
Over 3000 contestant have faced off with the elusive banker, walking away with sums ranging from 1p all the way up to £250,000, but alas, the broadcaster has deiced to it’s a “no deal” to the Noel Edmonds fronted series.
The inside told the Mirror: “The farewell tour will be a great way for fans to say goodbye to the show”.
Will you be sad to see Deal Or No Deal go?
He continued: “We can go anywhere and this is something I’ve wanted to do for years”.
Host Noel Edmonds will be seeing it off in style, with a series of live shows, Deal or No Deal on Tour, taking the show across the United Kingdom at the end of the year to say farewell.
Last year, he said: “I have no idea about the future of Deal or No Deal”.
However, the show promises to go out with a bang by embarking on a “farewell tour” across the United Kingdom filming the final games in various locations across the country.
Edmonds will return to Channel 4 when the series endsfor with a new “big-money” studio game show in dubbed Cheap Cheap Cheap as well as two pilots.
