Christina Elizabeth Bankston, 36, of Newark, California, was arrested at her residence Thursday morning by special agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The indictment also alleges Bankston used the information she gleaned from Jenner’s online accounts to steal her identity and impersonate her to “friends and family”. She was arrested pursuant to a 15-count indictment that was returned by a federal grand jury on July 26 and unsealed Wednesday.
Most of the stalking and hacking took place anonymously over a six-month period in which harassing phone calls were placed and large numbers of text messages and emails were sent to “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star Jenner, family members and assistants, according to court papers. “Oh you can’t block me forever love”, and “I’m gonna duck you right in the p**** hole you are mine and u am in love”.
She is also accused of sending chilling text messages to the star, who is the mother of reality TV stars Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian.
She faces a lengthy jail stint if convicted as each charge of cyberstalking and computer hacking carries a minimum term of five years in prison.
She is due for her first court appearance on Friday. The lesser charge could amount to a two-year consecutive sentence.
