Well before the doors were set to open at 10 a.m. Friday, hundreds of fans flocked to the mall to secure their spot in line, which winds through a lengthy stretch of the mall.
West tweeted a map last night with red dots indicating the stores’ locations.
The limited edition apparel and “Life of Pablo” merchandise ranges from $45 for a white hat with “Detroit” in a V-shape, to an original “Pablo” military jacket for $325.
“It’s Yeezy (Kanye West’s nickname)”.
West opened a pop-up store in NYC in March which quickly sold out of all its items.
You’re on the go! If the NY pop-up is any indication, you can expect such items as Robert Kardashian/Donda West memorial t-shirts for $45, hoodies for $95, and burgundy bombers for $350. I was coming home from a bar, I saw the line, and I was like, ‘Oh, I can jump in here now instead of going home.’ And I was No. 70 when I got here, at 3 a.m.
The shop will be housed in a space that is no stranger to pop-star glamour: The former furniture store was the setting for a photography exhibit by Lenny Kravitz at Art Basel in December. West’s fashion include the four corners of the fashion world: London, Singapore, Las Vegas and Frisco. “Kanye is like Marmite, you love him or you hate him”.
A NY pop-up store in March for the Pablo merchandise had shoppers lining up for hours to get a piece of the clothing.
