Konami announces Metal Gear: Survive at Gamescom 2016
While its former developer Hideo Kojima is busy mesmerizing everyone with the mysterious Death Stranding, Konami has taken his most popular creation Metal Gear and turning it into Left 4 Dead. “Metal Gear Survive” follows the events of “Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes” wherein the remaining members of the Militaires Sans Frontières are driven to a separate universe where they are relentlessly forced to battle against what they call the Crystalline Zombies; doubly put as the Metal Gear itself. So far, it doesn’t really resemble Metal Gear as we’ve come to know it. It isn’t just the structures being pulled into the wormhole though, with other staff also being pulled through. Named Survive, it’s to be a four-player online co-op endeavor. However, rather than having the structure and surviving soldiers fall into the ocean, unusual wormholes open in the sky sucking them and everything else around into some sort of other dimension populated by odd, zombie-like creatures.

Metal Gear Survive feels as if it’s exiting the stealth gameplay mechanics that the series has been known for.
“One of the really interesting things that we will be exploring and playing with is how stealth and co-op can actually co-exist”, he explained.
And new trailers are out for the anticipated “Battlefield One”, a war game that drops the player into World War One…
Konami has promised that the stealth gameplay that the series is known for will still be intact in Survive.
As well as a new trailer for horror game “Resident Evil Seven – Biohazard”… Let me assure you, those are just a teaser, just a little taste of some of the things that you will encounter in this new alternative landscape.
