Copies of the orange-tinted likeness – featuring a massive belly, small fingers and missing some genital parts – were simultaneously unveiled in downtown Manhattan’s Union Square Park and public places in four other US cities.

Naked statues of the Republican presidential candidate have been popping up in cities across the U.S. sparking laughter and queues for selfies.
It’s Donald Trump like you’ve never seen him before – and probably don’t want to either.
The New York City Parks Department told the report, “NYC Parks stands firmly against any unpermitted erection in city parks, no matter how small”.
INDECLINE said statues on the West Coast were still in place.
The anarchist group INDECLINE erected the statue, as well as others that were placed in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Cleveland and Seattle.
A plaque at the bottom of the statue read: “The emperor has no balls”.
Surprisingly, Monroe was once a Trump supporter, but changed his opinion on the billionaire after he notoriously mocked New York Times reporter Serge Kovaleski, who is disabled.
A Trump spokeswoman did not respond immediately to an email with a request for comment.
Photos and selfies with the statues made the rounds on social networks.
As of Thursday afternoon, the San Francisco statue was still standing in the Castro District, one of the country’s first gay neighbourhoods.
Ginger has past professional work creating monsters for haunted houses “When the guys from Indecline approached me, it was all because of my monster-making abilities”.
He said the group had bets among themselves about how long it would take for the statues to be removed, either by angry mobs or the respective city governments.
Monroe actually worked “pro bono” for the project and called it a labour of love.
