“The foundation should remove a political – and actual – distraction and stop accepting funding”, wrote the Boston Globe editorial board on August 16th.
Over the weekend, former Democratic Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell, a Clinton supporter, told The New York Daily News the foundation should be disbanded if she’s elected.
The former president revealed the decision at a recent staff meeting.
Foundation and campaign officials said they are anxious the hackers may have had access or obtained emails and voicemails that could be used to highlight donations made to and by the Clinton Foundation.

But questions have persisted about the relationship between donors and the Clintons. He said the foundation’s continued acceptance of foreign donations during Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign was a “massive, ongoing conflict of interest that gets bigger by the day”.

Anyway, according to the latest set of accounts, filed with Companies House and the Charity Commission a year ago, Clinton’s foundation has not raised any funds or received any cash since 2013, when its total incoming resources were £27,662.
According to the AP, Bill Clinton denied that the changes were brought about by outside pressure, but said they were motivated by the need to eliminate any concerns if his wife wins the White House.
LESTER HOLT: There is breaking news tonight from the Clinton Foundation, the charity that bears the names of Bill and Hillary Clinton. “We’ll just have to cross that bridge when we come to it”. “If Clinton is elected, the foundation should be shut down”.
The charges of a “porous ethical wall” and “sloppiness” were unsupported by facts.
The Clinton Foundation has apparently collected over $ 2 billion in less than two decades, which has been used by the Republicans and its presidential nominee Donald Trump to attack the former First Lady.

That should seal the deal, but then again we’re talking about the Clintons.
