Son wants death penalty for face-biting suspect
Or why the teen allegedly gnawed on his dead father’s face.

He had surgery because he nearly cut off his thumb while stabbing John Stevens III, 59, and Michelle Mishcon, 53, at their home on Southeast Kokomo Lane, said Sheriff William Snyder.
“It is not super important to me what his mindset was”, John Stevens IV told the SunSentinel on Thursday.
Stevens’ children just want Harrouff to receive the death penalty, the AP reported.
The couple suffered stab wounds and blunt-force trauma during the attack, officials said.
He will be charged with attempted first-degree murder in the attack on Jeffrey Fisher.
Once he is released, deputies say he will be arrested on various charges including first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, burglary and resisting an officer without violence.
“Jeff from across the street is a hero”, he said. “Without Jeff he could have easily gone from that house to the next one”.
He said the first deputy who arrived tried to stop Harrouff with a Taser, but that didn’t stop him.
Sheriff’s officials say he’s still in the hospital where he’s conscious but heavily sedated. Detectives have not been able to question him. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is conducting further testing that would detect the presence of flakka or bath salts.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office on Friday released video of Harrouff walking out of a Duffy’s the night of the attack.
A Florida sheriff’s office said Friday that a Florida State University student caught trying to bite the face off a victim after stabbing the man and his wife will be charged with first-degree murder, meaning he’ll face capital punishment or life without parole.
Police now believe that Harrouff was high on drugs, possibly the synthetic stimulant known as Flakka. More deputies and a K-9 unit were called and eventually overpowered him. In it, he was talking about bodybuilding and a decision he said he made not to do drugs or steroids. On his college recruiting profile, he listed himself as 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds. In a video he recently posted online, Harrouff suggested he may have taken steroids in the past, but said he doesn’t use them now. I know that they can change me, but the thing is, that is not being healthy. “But the thing is that’s not being healthy, you know”.
“Rage episodes usually occur when they are off the drug”, said Hall, an epidemiologist at Nova Southeastern University. “Who knows? But for me I know that I don’t know, but I think that steroids really aren’t for me, honestly”. “There could be other human growth hormone issues with similar effects”, Hall said.
Ivy Stevens said she wants the same. Ms Mischon had also been stabbed but the coroner ruled she had died from being beaten.

The suspect was eventually removed but Mr Stevens was pronounced dead on his driveway, while his wife Michelle Mishcon, 53, was found dead in the garage.
