Box Office is a very uncertain place.

The film is getting a terrific response worldwide and will soon cross the 100 crore mark.
Even though movie had good holiday week when lot’s of offices and school colleges are off due to Independence Day and “Raksha Bandhan”.
However, there may quite possibly be a lull around Rustom’s growth now.
‘Mohenjo Daro’ has crossed its second Friday at the box office.
Rustom has become one of the highest grossing films of the year, surpassing Akshay Kumar’s “Airlift“, which released earlier this year. Both the films were much anticipated by the masses mainly because of the star cast. It further earned Rs 12.07 crore on day 3 and Rs 10.36 crore on day 4, taking the cumulative total to Rs 40.9. It is already being called Akshay Kumar’s fastest 100-crore earner. The film collected a collection of around 30 Cr at the end of the first weekend. In fact in July it was Great Grand Masti that ran into heavy losses and now Mohenjo Daro has suffered similarly in August. The film also stars Ileana D’Cruz, Esha Gupta, Arjan Bajwa and is directed by debutante Tinu Suresh Desai.
Indeed, while it opened at a comparable number of screens as Rustom (2000+), occupancy has stayed low, at around 30 to 40 percent on average.
The film’s lacklustre performance has been all the more shocking since it was the same team – Disney UTV, Ashutosh Gowariker and Hrithik Roshan – who had come up with the blockbuster Jodhaa Akbar back in 2008.
Jodha Akbar, Hrithik’s previous film with Gowariker was impressive, which should have added to the curiosity over Mohenjo Daro for its backdrop and scale.

Till now the movie has 55.29 Cr at the domestic box office and as per the response of the audience, the movie will not even collect its budget amount in coming days. Just like the film, Pooja Hegde has also failed to impress the movie lovers under the burden of sky high expectations.
