Clinton Foundation to Limit Foreign Donations if Hillary Wins Presidency
The charity will rely only on contributions from USA citizens and charities should Hillary Clinton become president, Bill Clinton explained.

“If everything was above board while Hillary Clinton ran the State Department, as the Clintons have said, then why change a thing?”
Last year, under pressure for its dealings with donors outside the United States, the Clinton Foundation said it would curb new contributions from foreign governments, but it did not discontinue fundraising from foreign individuals, corporations or charities. After all, there’s a good chance Hillary Clinton will be president in just a few short months. He characterized the foundation’s receipt of foreign dollars as a ” massive, ongoing conflict of interest that gets bigger by the day”. In the new poll, more than half of respondents (55 percent) said the foundation shouldn’t accept donations from companies based in other countries, and six in 10 voters said it shouldn’t take money from foreign governments.
Hillary Clinton resigned from her board seat in 2015 after she announced her presidential candidacy.
The donations have led to questions about potential conflicts of interest when Hillary Clinton was secretary of state, and if she were to become president; and it’s provided fodder for Donald Trump.
Foreign nationals and governments have indeed given hundreds of millions to the Clinton Foundation, according to The New York Times.
Also, the staff was also informed by the former president Bill Clinton that the organization (Clinton Global Initiative) would still hold its final meeting in NY coming September regardless of the outcome of the election.
A little over one-third (34 percent) of respondents said she was influenced a lot by donors outside the USA when she was secretary of State, and about one-fifth (21 percent) said foreign donors had some influence on her.
The Clinton Foundation is an unprecedented abomination to American democracy.
Established in 1997, it wasn’t until Bill Clinton left the White House in 2001 that the Clinton family took over the reins of the Foundation.
The moves come amid concern among some Clinton allies that additional details could emerge about relationships between Clinton’s State Department and foundation donors.
According to ABC News, the final meeting of Clinton Global Initiative which is the global wing of the foundation would be held in the Big Apple in September regardless of the outcome of the November elections.
The foundation has estimated that commitments by its members have improved the lives of more than 430 million people in more than 180 countries.
