Is Inside Amy Schumer canceled?

Schumer sent many of her Twitter followers into a tailspin when she responded to users outraged by a recent string of misogynistic posts by one of Inside Amy’s writers, Kurt Metzger.

Schumer clarified that her comedy series will not be canceled, despite a cryptic tweet she wrote hinting that it was ending. “We butt heads, we get in fights, because he infuriates us.It feels very positive to have someone in there saying, ‘Well, this is from the male perspective'”. He gets something from going after people, making them mad. “That is not representative of me at all”, the 35-year-old comedian – who was a victim of domestic abuse herself – told Rose.

Schumer was scheduled to stop in Naperville Aug. 20 while on tour promoting her new book, The Girl With the Lower Back Tattoo. She also commented on Metzeger’s rants and pointed out that his views do not represent her or the show.

Schumer objected to the fact that “the focus is on him rather than on. the real main problem”.

Over the weekend, Metzger went on several social media rants about rape and sexual assault after improv theater Upright Citizens Brigade banned a fellow comedian from their venues following rape accusations posted in private Facebook groups.

Amy Schumer, who is now on the road promoting her memoir The Girl With the Lower Back Tattoo, has been defending and condemning a comedian who has written on her Comedy Central show, Inside Amy Schumer. Afterward, she retweeted a Twitter user who said, “We’ll miss your show”. Right now, there’s no plans for the TV show to come back anytime in the near future. I think people, you know, they want his head. “There aren’t any writers for the show”. Metzger “baits people”, Schumer explained, but he’s not the real problem.

Schumer has been a Comedy Central standout since her series premiere back in April 2013, which was welcomed by 1.6 million viewers, making it a record for the amusing network.

“To focus your energy on online trolling, if I did that, I wouldn’t get anything done”, Schumer said. “Let’s focus on actually getting the problem done”, she said. The full interview will be out this August 19 on PBS.
