Donald Trump tours flood-ravaged Louisiana, slams Obama
Republican vice presidential candidate Mike Pence has filed a personal financial disclosure form that shows his salary as IN governor is his main source of income.

Donald Trump landed Friday in flood-ravaged Louisiana Friday, where he consoled homeowners and toured devastated communities, telling one homeowner he is “going to rebuild”.
Eno speculated: “The response of the people of Baton Rouge and Lafayette, with neighbor helping neighbor, doesn’t fit into the main stream media narrative of a nation on the brink suffering from racial tensions”.
President Barack Obama is scheduled to travel to Baton Rouge to view damage from flooding.
Edwards, a Democrat, said ahead of Trump’s visit that Trump is welcome, “but not for a photo-op”. Edwards’ spokesman Richard Carbo said in a statement that “we hope he’ll consider volunteering or making a sizable donation to the LA Flood Relief Fund to help the victims of this storm”.
Trump headed to flood-damaged Louisiana to express solidarity with residents cleaning up after devastating flooding that left at least 13 people dead.
The Advocate on Wednesday called on Obama to “pay a personal visit”.
Before meeting volunteers at the Greenwell Springs Baptist Church, north of Baton Rouge, Trump said, “The president says he doesn’t want to go, he is trying to get out of a golf game”.
Trump’s visit to southern Louisiana put pressure on Clinton.
Trump’s campaign team was changed again on Friday when Paul Manafort resigned as chairman days after the candidate effectively demoted him in a leadership shakeup.
Obama’s trip won’t interfere with his summer vacation, as he was scheduled to return to Washington on Sunday.
The president dispatched Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson to tour the state on Thursday and received an update from Johnson on Friday.
Louisiana Commissioner of Administration Jay Dardenne said on Thursday the flooding has made it more likely the state would rely on a short-term bank loan to shore up government funding. “Volunteers, support for the Red Cross, support to the charities like Samaritan’s Purse that are coming along side these vulnerable families and we’re just here to help tell that story and very inspired by it”. “To move the president into a disaster area actually takes away some time from the response and the focus on” saving people. First responders shouldn’t be pulled away to deal with Obama, when they are needed for search and rescue missions still, Edwards said.
The second point is that Hillary has not been above attacking a president based on his response to a natural disaster in the past. Obama chastised then-President George W. Bush for not responding faster and more aggressively to the Hurricane Katrina disaster in the same state.

Some 86,500 people have already filed for federal aid following the historic levels of rainfall. Approximately 40,000 homes were damaged in the floods.
