Amy Schumer defends relationship with controversial comedian Kurt Metzger

“Hey, I know the cops aren’t always helpful and that rapists often don’t get convicted”, Metzger posted on his personal Facebook page on Sunday. If we ask them to even merely also post a vague account of what happened before asking us to believe that would like re-raping their rape! “‘Why aren’t the rape kits being tested??’ Because instead of actually educating women with useful information on what to do if they are victimized, you blather nonsense about ‘culture” and then tell them being weak is being strong’. On Twitter, she wrote: “I am so saddened and disappointed in Kurt Metzger“.

Some viewers of Schumer’s show say they have tried for years to call her attention to his history of making provocative comments about rape and sexual assault in interviews and his acknowledgment that he was violent to a girlfriend. He is my friend and a great writer and I couldn’t be more against his recent actions”, she tweeted Wednesday, noting, “Kurt does not work for me.

She followed with another tweet saying, “Kurt does not work for me”. He is not a writer on my show. “There are no writers”, she said. “There are no writers for it”.

After enduring racist attacks from online trolls surrounding the release of Ghostbusters, Leslie Jones emerged an Olympics hero when NBC flew her down to Rio to continue her hilarious Twitter coverage.

In a clip of her interview with Rose, Schumer again defends and distances herself from Metzger. I love him. I’m not on Facebook so I don’t read his insane rants. “I love him. I’m not on Facebook so I don’t read his insane rants. That is not representative of me at all”. “It’s like, they made a amusing, fun movie (with Ghostbusters) and I personally feel like it was a gift and I was really happy to get to see it”. “When a woman says she was assaulted, a lot of people’s first reaction is to say, ‘No you weren’t, ‘” she said.

The comedian, who has spoken out about being a victim of sexual assault herself, noted Metzger is “the problem, no question”, but added that “the focus is on him rather than on what the real main problem is”.
