Koeman rubbishes Fonte exit reports
Jordy Clasie was back from his hamstring injury and he needed to play 60 minutes for the Under-21s against Manchester City on Monday, but he now has an ankle ligament injury.

“Ryan Bertrand is still not available, maybe in two weeks he will be part of the training sessions”.
Southampton are already without their England goalkeeper Fraser Forster who could be out for the best part of a year after knee surgery, and centre-back Florin Gardos who faces seven months out, also with a troublesome knee. He has picked up a sinus infection and he had some medication.
If there is scope for coming to the St Mary’s with a more attacking outlook than Martinez otherwise might it lies in the fact that Ronald Koeman’s outfit are weaker defensively than they were last season thanks to the loss of the loss over the summer of holding midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin and defender Nathaniel Clyne.
“I don’t know if Jose Fonte is a target for another club”.
“It was nice to end the season like that at St Mary’s”, Mane said. Both teams to score is probably a good shout as well but the value on the draw here is too good for me to pass up.
Privately Koeman is confident that the transfer will go through before the window shuts on September 1 even if Celtic beat Malmo in the final round of Champions League eliminators.
“It’s not easy to be a player in the first XI of Chelsea because they have so many good players and for young players it’s hard”.
He spent the past two seasons on loan at Stuttgart and Valencia.
“We would like to win the game every time, but it’s not always possible”, he said.

“Looking at our results in the previous few seasons, we definitely need to improve our results down there and there’s no time like the present to do that”.
