Dyche hails successful game plan after Liverpool win
Jurgen Klopp’s side spent the entire game playing in front of a resolute Burnley defence, who brilliantly defended first half strikes from Sam Vokes and Andre Gray.

“It was a hard game for us, we passed the ball, lost the ball at the wrong moments”.
Klopp told reporters after the match: “We saw the situations coming around the goals”.
“The first half was not good for growing self-confidence, we lost a little bit of our timing, patience, all that stuff”. It was not good.
“We know we lost a game in which we had 80 percent possession today but there are different ways to play football”. It’s not allowed that you suffer under your own ball possession, that makes no sense.
Klopp was critical of his team’s defensive efforts in the opening 4-3 victory at Arsenal and, after conceding a further two goals at Turf Moor, Liverpool have kept just two clean sheets in their last 13 league games. “Life is not over”, the German added.
“I will watch the game again and I am pretty sure I will not see a lot of surprises in this game, I saw everything”.
“To come off their result last week and then for us to win 2-0 I think is a coupon-buster for most people”. I was very pleased for our players against a very, very good side, make no mistake. “It might have been forced by the result and by the passion of the opponent, but it is how it is”.
Burnley boss Sean Dyche made no excuses for his counter-attacking tactics after his side stunned Liverpool 2-0 on Saturday.
“I think Burnley created two chances and they scored two goals”, he said.
“Possession has to lead to something and I don’t think they opened us up too many times”.
“It’s a myth that dominating possession wins you games”.

“Some of the performances were outstanding, Dean Marney was outstanding, the back four in general, the shape and diligence to work as a team, and work to get something from the game”.
