Bharat Petroleum announces Rs.75 lakh award, promotion for Sindhu

The Delhi government today announced Rs 2 crore cash reward to Olympics silver medallist P V Sindhu and Rs 1 crore to bronze medallist Sakshi Malik.
Announcing a cash award of Rs 75 lakh for her fleet, BPCL Chairman and Managing Director S Varadarajan said Sindhu would be promoted to deputy manager.
A day after she won the silver medal at the Rio Olympics, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced that his government has chose to award Rs 3 crore cash prize to badminton sensation PV Sindhu. The cash prize to Sindhu is likely to be presented by TS Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao within few days.
As reported by Indian Express, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has also announced a reward of Rs 50 lakh for Sindhu.
Another Rs 50 lakh was awarded to the young champion by the Badminton Association of India.
Telangana and Andhra Pradesh (AP) governments on Saturday announced cash reward of Rs 5 crore and Rs 3 crore, respectively, to the Olympic medallist while congratulating her for winning the medal for India.
Rao also said the Cabinet made a decision to give cash reward of Rs 1 crore to grappler Sakshi Malik, who won bronze at the Rio Olympics.

World No.10 Sindhu settled for the silver medal after being beaten 21-19, 12-21, 15-21 by No.1 Carolina Marin of Spain.
