Crazed Brazil finally wins Olympic gold
Germany did not qualify for the Olympics in 2012 but won the bronze the last three times they played, in 2000, 2004 and 2008.

“That was the World Cup”. After 90 minutes, the two sides were almost even in shots, with Brazil having one more at 12-to-11.
The gold medal match kicked off at 4:30pm, with Sweden facing Germany. “Will all due respect to everybody who has a attractive history and tried for a long time, God put this generation in this position to make history and we did”.
“I said to my players before the game: this is your stadium, go out and you’ll see 80,000 people to welcome you”, he said. German footballers hardly came up in the first half and it was Brazil who saw their effort turning into a goal at 26th minutes into the match as Neymar scored from free-kick and was out of reach of Manuel Neuer.
Defending Olympic and world champion Jordan Burroughs was stunned in the quarterfinals of men’s freestyle wrestling by Russia’s Aniuar Geduev.
Neymar had put the hosts ahead with a superb free kick after 27 minutes but Germany captain Maximilian Meyer equalised just before the hour to take the game into the extra period at 1-1.
Brazilian attentions will now be firmly focused on whether their men’s team can win Olympic gold for the first time when they face Germany at the Maracanã tomorrow.
The German men’s team is also playing in a gold-medal match at the Maracana, facing host Brazil on Saturday. “I really don’t have words to describe this, this is what you have earned through your hard work over weeks and months”. Afterwards – indeed, nearly at the exact moment the ball appeared to cross the goal-line – Neymar broke down in tears like we’ve never seen him before. “Now I want to do something else, to keep on learning, do something different”.
Both Germany and Brazil converted on each of its first four penalty kicks to force sudden kick. She was an assistant on Germany’s team that won the 2003 World Cup, then took over as coach of the senior women in 2005, leading the team to another World Cup title in 2007.
“I finish this tournament with the best possible impressions of Neymar as do the team”. “There are some things that need to be fixed, but today we were able to make our people happy”. Germany kept springing forward to try and score a third goal while struggling defensively to close out the win.
It’s a terrific moment – not just for Neymar, but for the entire country.

But the chance for a gold medal was an opportunity to offer at least some redemption for Brazil in another major event on home soil.
