Investigators have not said how the victims were killed, but they said it appears multiple methods were used.
A woman first reported the crime by walking into the Citronell police station to report a body at the propery on Saturday afternoon. WKRG also reports that the lone survivor of the attack is an infant. Upon arrival, they found five people dead.
The victims were all adults, according to reports, with multiple weapons including a gun used in the murders.
A witness to the killings was being interviewed by police in the nearby town of Citronelle, according to WALA-TV.
Neighbors say a brother and sister and their two families, including children, live at the residence.
A spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office could not be immediately reached for comment.
Mobile County Sheriff’s department detectives say a 911 call was received sometime between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. that named Derrick Dearman as a trespasser on their property. The home where the victims were found lies several hundred yards from Jim Platt Road, in a wooded area.

Identities of the suspect and the victims were being withheld. Mobile County Sheriff’s Office will be holding a press conference and briefing on Sunday morning.
