Trump’s campaign spending at half the rate of Clinton’s

Donald Trump may be dominating the political chatter as he reboots a trailing campaign, but it’s Clinton who’s winning positive headlines during visits to some of the most competitive states in the presidential race.

“Everyone talks about, ‘Oh are you going to pivot?’ I don’t want to pivot. Particularly, where it may have caused personal pain”.

Friday was also the first day that Trump released ads for the general election, up until now relying only on free media coverage.

Embattled campaign manager Paul Manafort resigned Friday morning.

The Republican nominee said that in the heat of speaking in public or in a debate, he might not be able to choose the right words to say especially when he’s talking about different issues at a time.

Mr Trump, whose bid for the White House has been characterised by a series of gaffs, won the nomination by dominating media coverage, Mr Moran said at a United States politics event at the Festival of Politics in Edinburgh. “Paul is a true professional and I wish him the greatest success”, Trump said in a statement.

“Donald Trump literally started his campaign by insulting people”.

Of course, throughout this election year, critics of Trump and Clinton have posited several theories on how to actually remove either or both of them from their place as nominees: a brokered convention, an Federal Bureau of Investigation indictment, or ongoing rumors that at least one of them might just decide to drop out.

After meeting with Clinton, retiring New York Police Commissioner Bill Bratton did not repeat his earlier allegations that a Trump presidency scared him. But two people familiar with attempts to breach the campaign and other Republican organizations said that so far there was no indication of a penetration as serious as those of the Democratic organizations, and CrowdStrike is not investigating any successful hacking of Trump campaign data.

Back in 2004, it was Democratic voters who were more concerned about inaccurate vote counts.

Trump’s visit to southern Louisiana put pressure on Clinton.

It’s an interesting time for Trump to tone it down. Messages on immigration and the environment seemed more aligned with political and religious progressives: 19 percent heard comments welcoming immigrants, and 16 percent, on the need to protect the environment. And Trump’s new campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, has mentioned the goal of beefing up some of the state based operations in the key states.

Trump did not elaborate on which specific remarks he regrets. According to a new nationwide poll, Trump narrows the gap from Clinton to 4%.

It was a rare admission for Trump, who has said he prefers “not to regret anything”. Clinton is on track to top the $90 million she raised for her campaign and Democratic allies in July.
