McGregor was visibly pumped while answering questions and spared no time in ripping into the Mexican lightweight.
Diaz, who has a 19-10 mixed martial arts record, stopped McGregor in the second round of their first meeting at UFC 196.
On Wednesday, a press conference involving McGregor and Diaz ended abruptly when the latter instigated a bout of bottle-throwing between the opposing camps as he decided to make an early exit.
McGregor and Nate Diaz, who he faces in Saturday’s headline rematch at the T-Mobile Arena, are both in the firing line after their respective entourages hurled bottles and cans at each other in farcical scenes at the David Copperfield Theatre, with Las Vegas police separating the factions.
“(Expletive) the Diaz brothers – (expletive) those cockroaches”, McGregor said.
“My coach says we win or we learn and I learned from the last fight”. The 31-year-old Diaz took the fight on less than two weeks’ notice after then-champion Rafael dos Anjos was forced out due to injury.
Conor also talks about the UFC 200 card which in his words “bombed”.
“I was told half (past) one”, McGregor joked.
Nate threw a bottle at Team McGregor in the stands and they retaliated by throwing things toward Team Diaz.
The flamboyant McGregor is the biggest draw in the UFC, as shown by his $3 million paycheck for Saturday’s fight.
“I guarantee both of these guys are gonna get massive fines and there’s probably going to be a hearing after the fight”.
In any case, it looks like swift judgement has been handed down to both fighter’s crews in the form of an outright ban from UFC 202.
