Narsingh was banned for four-years by the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) for failing a dope test after WADA challenged the clean chit given to him by NADA.

The India’s bronze medallist at London Olympics, will face Russia’s Soslan Ramonov, 2014 worlds gold and 2015 bronze victor in the quarter-final, if he wins his first match.

The Haryana born Yogeshwar Dutt seems to be not letting negativity affect him ahead of the event and on that note, we would like to pour in our wishes for the man of moment.

The women in the contingent – Dipa Karmakar, PV Sindhu, Sakshi Malik and Aditi Ashok – have provided moments of magic and hope, and these signs are great for India at future Olympics if the talent can be managed properly. “We just pray that he gets a good draw”, he added.

Support for Yogeshwar has come from all corners of the country.

Yogeshwar’s journey to securing an Olympic quota place hasn’t been very smooth.

Narsingh was evicted from the Olympics Village yesterday as the ban meant his accreditation and entry was cancelled, and he had to be shifted to a hotel. “The entire nation is standing behind him”, Kumar told ANI. He’s had to recover from three surgeries in 2015 to book a ticket to the Brazilian capital city.

In all probability this will be Yogeshwar’s last Olympics and the 33-year-old will be looking to sign-off on a high.
