Has Amy Schumer quit her Comedy Central show?

Now that she’s dealt with the last one, it seems Schumer has decided it’s time to tackle Metzger.

Schumer went on to write, “Kurt does not work for me”. But for a minute there it looked like the show had been cancelled/unrenewed.

As for the future of Inside Amy Schumer, the Trainwreck star didn’t offer any hope the series would be returning for a fifth season anytime soon.

As for Inside Amy Schumer, Amy says it’s on hiatus, and that has nothing to do with Metzger’s comments nor does it mean he was sacked.

Wait, what? But we need her show.

Women started calling out Amy as Kurt was a writer on her show.

“I would love to refocus the energy and the attention on the real problem, which is about rape”, she tells US journalist Charlie Rose during an appearance on his show, before concluding: “And what’s consensual and what’s not”. In a now-deleted Facebook post, Metzger weighed in on a comedian having been banned from performing with the Upright Citizens Brigade due to allegations of sexual assault. Eventually she tweeted: “I am so saddened and disappointed in Kurt Metzger”.

That was a surprise.

Comedian Kurt Metzger attached Amy Schumer to his controversial comments about rape since he’s been listed as a writer on her Comedy Central show.

As for Metzger’s status with the show (or lack thereof), Schumer didn’t provide any more detail in her tweeted updates.

She said: “I’ve asked him, ‘Can you just stop?'”

The rant in question was written earlier this week – and has continued through countless posts on his Facebook page. Yet as of this morning, the network has yet to confirm whether or not it is still moving forward in light of Schumer’s recent tweets. He is not a writer on my show. Metzger “baits people”, Schumer explained, but he’s not the real problem. Adding, “To focus your energy on online trolling – if I did that, I wouldn’t get anything done”.

The comedienne’s Inside Amy Schumer sketch show debuted in 2013 and in January (16) executives at USA network renewed the series for a fifth season, which is set to air in 2017. Doing Standup and focusing on writing more for the next year at least.

“I stand by the points I made, but I sincerely apologize for using inflammatory language to make them”, he said.
