Southern Indiana man charged with murder after 2 slain
State Police are investigating as a double murder the deaths of a man and a woman found unresponsive in a southern in home.

Hambel, 29, is preliminarily charged with two counts of murder.
Dicus and Hobson were pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police later identified the deceased as Valerie Dicus and Joseph Hobson.
Autopsies were scheduled to be performed on both victims at the Kentucky Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville.
These results are preliminary and the final autopsy results will not be made available until toxicology results are determined which usually takes six to eight weeks to be completed.

Officers responded to a call around 12:45 a.m. and found two unresponsive people on the 300 block of Small Street in Salem, according to a state police spokesperson Jerry Goodin.
