Starc: Australian becomes fastest to reach 100 ODI wickets
Australian cricketer Mitchell Starc (C) celebrates with his teammates after dismissing unseen Sri Lanka cricketer Milinda Siriwardana during the first One Day International (ODI) cricket match between Sri Lanka and Australia at the R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo on August 21, 2016.

The left-armer earlier bowled opener Kusal Perera with the fourth ball of the match.
Veteran batsman Tillakaratne Dilshan and Kusal Mendis, who scored 67, then came together for a 42-run second-wicket partnership to bring some stability to the innings. The ball looped up off the edge of the bat to fall into the waiting hands of Smith at first slip.
Fernando, who is a top-order batsman, has been in good form for the Sri Lanka Under-19 team in England, hitting back to back hundreds to help the team to a 3-0 whitewash. In his third spell, Starc achieved the record when Dhananjaya de Silva chipped a slower ball straight to George Bailey at point.
The previous best record in One-Day Internationals for acquiring 100-wicket mark was registered in the name of legendary Pakistani spinner, Saqlain Mushtaq, who achieved this feat in mere 53 ODI matches in 1997.

The in-form Chandimal kept his focus to register his fifth consecutive ODI half-century after scoring four on the England tour. In 2015, he was the leading wicket-taker in ODIs, with 41 wickets in 18 games at an average of 16.26.
