Sony Xperia Z6: Better Off This Way

With what the Sony Xperia X Performance has to offer, maybe this X Performance is the new flagship from Sony that we all have been waiting for. In the last Mobile World Congress, Sony announced three new phones, all of them from the X line; the Xperia, Xperia XA, and the Xperia X Performance, based on Tech Plz report.

By looking at the trend followed by Sony’s “X” product line, it seems that the company may be dropping the “Z” series for now and give more room to the Xperia X brand range. Images of the Xperia XR leaked earlier this month, revealing what looks like classic industrial smartphone design. On the other hand, the Xperia X Performance has dimensions of 143.7 x 70.4 x 8.7 mm. Sony’s decision to announce the new Sony Xperia X Series at the MWC this year could also mean that they have already chose to focus on the new project. It might come with 5.2 inch Full HD screen.

According to the recent leaked news, the new phone will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor alongside 32GB of RAM. It also looks thicker than the average Sony handset, and sports a new camera layout and dual-LED flash, all held together with a brush-metal finish. Moreover, the front camera will also have 4K video shooting support.

The purported Xperia XR smartphone has a model number of F8331 and is believed to be sporting a 146.4 x 71.9 x 81.9 mm size. Android 7.0 (codenamed Nougat).

As we got busy rounding up our expectations for this year’s edition of Berlin’s long-time electronics expo, Sony kindly shared their media invitation for its September 1 event.

So far, however, other specs and features on the Xperia XR is kept tightly under wraps.
