Get fit with Fitbit new Windows 10 App having some great features

Fitbit for Windows 10 app key features illustrate the continued innovation of the Fitbit platform, which combines connected health and fitness devices with software and services, including an online dashboard and mobile apps, data analytics, motivational and social tools, personalized insights and virtual coaching through customized fitness plans and interactive workouts. This is similar to health apps on Windows Phone, like Microsoft Health or Runtastic, that use sensors to track activities levels and step counts.

The Windows Apps Team has released a new set of APIs for developers to add contextual sensing to their Windows 10 apps.

Fitbit new Windows 10 App has enhanced syncing with Bluetooth on all Windows 10 devices so that you can quickly access your health and fitness stats to make timely decisions to reach your objectives.

The live tiles have been redesigned to show more information and new types of notifications to let you access data quicker.

There’s a dedicated notification center that consolidates all the important notifications and messages in one tab so you can review progress faster, or stay motivated with cheers, taunts and encouragements from friends and family.

The app is designed to allow users to access and log their most important personalized data in real-time.

New Activity Detection APIs allow apps to know the user’s motion context, such as if someone is walking, running, in a vehicle, biking, stationary, or the device is idle and unused. Cortana support lets users enter data using their voice rather than typing.
