Al Roker Is Way Past Fed Up With “Lying” Ryan Lochte
Bush then tried to give Lochte the benefit of the doubt, telling his co-host, the swimmer “embellished some details”, but Roker wouldn’t hear it. “He lied to you, he lied to Matt Lauer, he lied to his mom”. As the veteran meteorologist tries to explain that Lochte lied to the media and left his teammates hanging (“he skedaddled”), Bush maintains that Lochte “embellished” his story.

Roker and Bush ultimately found some common ground, agreeing Lochte should not have lied to his mother. No, Billy. He lied’. There was no robbery, there was no pull over. There was no gun, there was no pullover, no one cocked a gun to his head … The two hotly debate whether or not Lochte should be held accountable and it’s not hard to see where Roker stands on it.
Bush argues that Lochte was being instructed in Portuguese and might not have understood what was happening. Roker, however, didn’t back down from his stance, which also was supported by co-anchor Natalie Morales. Bush said before Roker turned up the intensity and cut him off.

It’s not everyday that Al Roker becomes a Twitter phenomenon.
NBC announced Saturday morning that Lauer would conduct the first televised interview with Lochte since his robbery tale fell apart.
The U.S. gold-medal swimmer has been embroiled in controversy after evidence and questions from Brazilian police have poked holes in his account of getting robbed at gunpoint in Rio De Janeiro.
Lauer asked Lochte how he felt watching the coverage of Conger and Bentz being pulled off a USA -bound plane on Wednesday in Brazil by authorities who took them to the police station and questioned them for hours about the robbery claim.

I over-exaggerated that story and if I had never done that we wouldn’t be in this mess.
