“I think my father didn’t want to be, you know, distracted by, you know, whatever things that, you know, Paul was dealing with”, he told the Fox News Channel’s “Sunday Morning Futures”, while also praising Manafort’s work for the campaign.

Mook asserted that Trump’s actions indicated a cozy relationship with Russian Federation, noting Trump’s favorable comments about Putin and the campaign’s successful push to soften language in the Republican party platform that would’ve madated providing weapons to Ukraine.

The Trump campaign only recently placed its first battleground ad buys in Pennsylvania, Florida, North Carolina and OH for about $4 million, according to NBC News.

Two weeks after the ouster of campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, Trump’s campaign cut his firm, Green Monster Consulting, another $20,000 check.

The Podesta Group released a statement to announce that it hired a law firm to examine whether it had been lied to about its client’s funding sources.

Manafort’s attorney Richard Hibey did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Mr Boxt said: “It would be inconceivable to me that someone like Hillary Clinton, who obviously is a global actor, who has strong relationships with leaders around the world.(wouldn’t) seek to assure all of her friends and allies around the world that we are not a nation of insane people”.

As for the serious ones, at the end of July, Trump criticized the Muslim American parents of Humayun Khan, who died in Iraq in 2004, and insinuated his mother wasn’t allowed to speak while her husband spoke at the Democratic National Convention. Last week, former Trump Campaign Chair Paul Manafort resigned amid growing revelations about his deep financial ties to former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, who was backed by Putin. He will remain chairman and chief strategist. USA news reports surfaced this week suggesting that Manafort may have received $12.7 million (11.2 million euros) in secret cash payments over that time period.

Manafort’s lawyers denied the accusations.

The departure of Paul Manafort came as Trump tried this week to reset his unorthodox bid for the White House after falling behind Clinton in opinion polls for the November 8 election.

The group paid at least $2.2 million to the Washington firms to push positions favorable to the party from 2012 until 2014, when Yanukovych was ousted and fled to Russian Federation, the AP said, citing sources.
