National Security Trump vs. the Islamic State
Trump outlined his call for vetting of immigrants on August 15, amid growing concern over jihad attacks by Islamic migrants. “Trump’s Ideological Vetting Plan Would Banish Most Republicans”, said a Muslim writer at The Daily Beast. It’s not just Obama and the Democrats: 50 Republican national security experts, including Michael Hayden, former Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, recently signed a letter stating that Trump “would be the most reckless President in USA history”. He could, or so he believes, block entry on his word alone, without input from Congress.

“He said people who are here is the toughest part of the immigration debate, that it must be something that respects border security but deals with this in a humane and efficient manner”, said Jacob Monty, a Houston-based immigration lawyer who sat in Trump Tower with other Latino supporters and Trump. “Those who do not believe in our Constitution, or who support bigotry and hatred, will not be admitted to our country”. “Only those who we expect to flourish in our country – and to embrace a tolerant American society – should be issued visas”.
Though immigrants outside the United States would not receive the constitutional right to due process, Tribe said family members could bring challenges on their relatives’ behalves. How exactly would government officials measure that? The local group’s then-leader, Jordanian-born Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, was killed in 2006 in a USA airstrike but is still seen as the Islamic State group’s founder. None? Who would define it?
Anyone who can not name our enemy is not fit to lead our country.
As it stands now, the United States already has an extensive system for screening potential immigrants. And there is room for improvement in American anti-terrorism policy.
While Trump argues against nation-building, he seems to be suggesting the USA should have seized Iraq and its natural resources as an American colony.
The Islamic State group began as Iraq’s local affiliate of al-Qaeda, the group that attacked the USA on September 11, 2001. Americans should be wary of a leader who makes anti-terrorism the sole test for being an ally of this nation.
Trump’s accusation – and his use of the president’s middle name, Hussein – echoed of previous instances where he’s questioned Obama’s loyalties. This would be laudable in any other candidate. “I understand the difference between radicalized people and people who are of peace”.
Following those remarks, Philippine congressman Joey Salceda introduced a bill proposing to ban the real estate mogul from the Philippines, while Fil-Am California Assemblymember Rob Bonta said Trump is “unfit to serve as president”.

The poll also asked: “If Hillary Clinton is elected president do you think it will be because more people voted for her, or because the election results are rigged for her?”
