While Phelps was no slouch during these games – having won five gold medals and one silver in his respective competitions – the star of the games was Biles, and the entire world knows it. Nine months later, the world was presented a gift.

For more of Simone Biles, check out the clip below of one of her recent floor performances.
Specifically, it seemed like every athlete wanted to stop and take selfies with Biles, who was tasked with carrying the USA flag during the ceremony. Ali was not only a sports phenomenon, he had a way with words. Biles also made history by becoming the first gymnast from her country to achieve the feat.
Much like Ali, gifted gymnast is the greatest of all time.
The U.S. Olympic Committee announced that Simone Biles will lead Team USA into the Closing Ceremonies as the flag bearer.
Not that she’s stressing out about her final major Olympic moment of 2016!

In the video above, Biles is seen accepting her gold medal and a bouquet of flowers, which unfortunately came with a bee, and, as The Huffington Post suggested, she reacted just as anyone in her position would. “Because Michael Phelps is so much taller and he seemed to carry it so easily and I’m very short so I’m a little anxious about that part but I think they’ll guide me through it”. Plus, on top of those four Golds, the most won by any American gymnast in a single Olympics, she won Bronze in Balance Beam, and those five medals ties the record of most medals won by an American gymnast in a single Games!
