Ex-Jets LB Enemkpali, now with Bills, apologizes

Former Louisiana Tech defensive end IK Enemkapli has resurfaced in the NFL much quicker than most thought. That is when Enemkpali punched Smith, who will miss up to 10 weeks.

“Enemkpali, 24, is a native of Pflugerville, TX”.

A three-year starter and second-round selection by the Jets in the 2013 NFL draft, Smith is one of the most statistically decorated quarterbacks in West Virginia history.

Enemkpali, who was released by the Jets immediately after the punch, was picked up by the ex-Jets coach Rex Ryan for his Buffalo Bills.

Enemkpali released a statement to apologize for his actions. Enemkpali purchased a plane ticket for Smith so he can attend his football camp in Texas.

Smith has never been able to fully harness his enormous physical gifts in the NFL. He had not as of Tuesday morning.

Kaepernick said he and Smith are friends. Enemkpali didn’t just jeopardize his own career. If Enemkpali were to sign with a different team, he could face discipline under the league’s policy, as this is considered an incidence of workplace violence.

He spoke for only 45 seconds and did not take any questions. “A lot of us were around IK and he was a good teammate, simple as that”.

“IK wouldn’t be here if we didn’t think he could be successful on the football field and in our community”. When he gets here, it’s not something that I’m gonna ask him about, trying to figure out what happened, because I frankly don’t care. This is where we work, this is where we make our money and if you don’t respect the place as such, it becomes cancerous. I know the plot line makes him seem fictional, but it’s true.

“Why do young people do some of the things they do?” I get it. That doesn’t mean you celebrate him breaking his jaw. No matter how you slice it this incident doesn’t look good on Smith. Not everybody is flawless. Sure it is. “I Can’t Feel My Face” is now the #1 song in the country. There’s no question. Nothing justifies hitting somebody and all that stuff.

Thurman once walked into a bank and handed the teller a note saying “What would you do if I held up the bank?”

“I apologize for what happened”, he said. “I’m not in there”. He was at the center of the Miami Dolphins bullying scandal involving Jonathan Martin.

Coach Gary Kubiak has been managing Manning’s snaps at training camp, giving the 39-year-old quarterback every few days off to keep his legs and mind fresh.

Veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick is set to step up in Smith’s absence, and while some believe the Jets will be better off with the journeyman Fitzpatrick, he is not viewed as a long-term solution.
