Jon Stewart made his return to WWE at SummerSlam
Jon Stewart, when making his appearance on the biggest stage, said that he regretted what he had done to John Cena past year (when he hit Cena with a steel chair and cost him his match against Seth Rollins), and then announced his alliance with The New Day.

Featured below are even more videos from tonight’s WWE SummerSlam, including highlights from the incredible AJ Styles vs. John Cena bout, The Miz discussing his United States Championship defense, and more.
Once again, Stewart was on hand to lend his particular brand of assistance, this time to the *begins hip gyration* WWE World Tag Team Champions The New Day. We’ll pretend for a moment that wrestling isn’t scripted and pretend that Jon’s unicorn magic was just the thing to help The New Day keep their tag team title.
Big E had been out of commission for all of August, but teammates Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods were acquitting themselves nicely without him.
Stewart was about to take a beating from the devilish duo when Big E ran in and hit Gallows with a suplex.

Naturally, the foursome gyrated in the ring after the match as Jon Stewart’s nuts and The New Day’s title reign lived on to see another day. He made a triumphant return to late night a few weeks ago when he sat in with Stephen Colbert at the National Conventions and he popped up this past week to see Nightly Show host Larry Wilmore off on the final episode of that show.
