Yu silently launches Yureka S to take on the Redmi Note 3
YU Televentures, the subsidiary of Micromax, has listed two new smartphones on its website.

Competition in this price segment is quite fierce though, and the new YU Yureka S will face competition from the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, LeEco Le 2, and the Lenovo ZUK Z1 to name a few. You better can call it an improved version of the Yu Yureka.
Yureka S, which will cost the buyer Rs 12,999, is a 5.2-inch display smartphone with a 1080×1920 pixel resolution and Gorilla Glass 3.
The smartphone has a metal and polycarbonate chassis. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor paired with 3GB RAM.
The RAM of the Yureka S is 3 GB, and the internal memory is 16 GB. Powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor, it is coupled with 306 Adreno GPU and 2GB RAM.
Moreover, Yu Yureka S also comes loaded with Wolfson Pure Sound and Yamaha Amplifier which promises to deliver an enhanced audio experience. Coming to camera department, there is an 8-megapixel autofocus primary camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash that can record videos in Full HD (1080p) at 30 frames per second. There is a 2MP camera with f/2.4 aperture and 83-degree wide-angle lens on the front for selfies and video chat.
The phone runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop supporting the mother company’s AROUND YU OS. Users can simply order food, shop and so on with a right swipe from the home screen, without having to download multiple apps.

The smartphone also features a 3,000mAh battery that YU claims is good enough to survive up to nine hours of talktime and up to 450 hours on standby mode. The device supports QuickCharge 1.0 technology. This one is a dual-SIM smartphone and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. Connectivity options of Yureka S, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, USB OTG, and microUSB port. The dimensions of the smartphhone are 154.8 x 78 x 8.5 mm. Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope.
