Lesnar bloodies Orton; Balor, Ambrose shine at SummerSlam
The match for the inaugural WWE Universal Championship was another very strong encounter, this time pitting hot newcomer Finn Balor against “The Architect”, Seth Rollins.

Ambrose retained the WWE Championship after countering a top-rope facebuster attempt into Dirty Deeds.
The match that stole the show was undoubtedly AJ Styles versus John Cena, as the Phenomenal One beat the 15-time world champion fair and square after a classic.
Charlotte defeated Sasha Banks to reclaim the WWE Women’s Championship in a hard-fought, absorbing and ambitious contest, that nevertheless included some scary moments. The match was highlighted by each wrestler kicking out of the other’s finishing moves.
According to reports, Banks will be resting for the next month or so due to “nagging injuries”, which should definitely allay concerns of a potential suspension, but leave Charlotte with no plausible challenger for the belt in the coming weeks. Finn Balor is the first-ever WWE Universal champion.
The champion was able to retain his title after he carried out the Skull-Crushing Finale for the pinfall.
But who were the big winners on tonight’s card? Still, The New Day will continue its already year-long reign with the tag titles. He’s one of the biggest stars in the company and should challenge for the WWE World Championship at some point.
Most people, however, saw John Cena and AJ Styles’ rematch to be the match of the night, as both men fought tooth-and-nail and brought their A-game to the ring.
The Usos, American Alpha, and Hype Bros also came away victorious against The Vaudevillains, The Ascension and Breezango.
Sami Zayn and Neville defeated The Dudley Boyz in a tag team match, which saw Neville use the crouching Zayn as a springboard for an incredible corkscrew moonsault on D-Von Dudley.
