‘Rogue One’ Trailer Gets the ‘Sabotage’ Treatment in Beastie Boys Remix

Per CinemaBlend, the “Rogue One” fan trailer is very well cut and has good timing and kicks.

What makes the song choice especially fitting is that the essence of “Sabotage” lines up so perfectly with the main plot of “Rogue One”: The flick centers around a team of Rebels (led by Jyn) tasked with infiltrating Imperial forces in order to steal plans to the nascent Death Star.

Since the band mastered the art of sampling and the Abrams-produced Star Trek films, in essence, sample from the original television series and film series, that could be the deeper connection explaining the Beastie Boys inclusion. Obviously, if you’re a fan of the J.J. Abrams-produced Star Trek films, you might disagree with me on that.
