Samsung Galaxy Note 5: Three big disappointments that come with the phablet

There’s the Galaxy S6 Edge+ “phablet“, a follow-up of the Galaxy S6 Edge.

Samsung usually adopts a “more is more” approach to pre-loaded applications, which often means its products arrive heaving with bloatware.

Unfortunately, the 128GB version of the S6 Edge+ device isn’t appearing on Samsung’s UK website.

Along with the two new phones, Samsung also unveiled a new hardware keyboard that can be attached to both the Note 5 and the S6 Edge+.

Samsung seems to be flush with new gadgets and projects this season. Both have 32GB and 64GB memory options, but note that the Note5 does not have a MicroSD slot.

Samsung Pay was announced at MWC earlier this year, and was supposed to arrive on the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.

The Galaxy Note 5 has a detachable hard keyboard and a new feature called SideSync that allows messages to be synced across phones and computers using Windows and Apple’s systems.

Wireless charging is also built into both phones, as Samsung representatives on Thursday emphasized their move toward a “cord-free future”, citing similar wireless charging initiatives by companies like Starbucks and Ikea. The Note is now on the redesigned version of other Samsung premium phones with an all metal and glass body look.

The same source mentions that the Samsung Pay app is able to create a barcode, in the eventuality of the magnetic card reader function not working. Samsung Pay will be launched in Korea on August 20th. Users will simply have to launch the stock camera app, sign in to YouTube and hit record.
