Mike Pence: Donald Trump ‘speaks right from his heart’
Charlie Wishman, secretary-treasurer of the Iowa federation of Labor AFL-CIO, attacked Trump’s business record as well as his tax plans Monday morning ahead of a visit to Cedar Rapids by Trump running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence.

“His optimistic view about 2020 when he’s running for re-election, that’s pure Donald Trump”, Pence said.
Trump told black voters last Friday that their job prospects were dim and urged them to break from Democrats, saying “What the hell do you have to lose?” Instead, during an interview with Ainsley Earhardt on Fox news, the former IN governor joined the general response to the GOP candidate’s assertions: he laughed out loud. He has a strong authoritarian tendency to him in Russian Federation.
Asked if he had been consulted before the changes to the campaign leadership were made, Pence would only say that he and Trump speak regularly and that “we’ll keep those conversations private”.
Trump has been making a big push this week for the black vote, but not for the reason you might think. Trump isn’t trying to get African-Americans to vote for him, he’s trying to get white people to – and he’s using the black community to do it.
Pence was added to the ticket as a role model of message discipline and for his ability to court Republicans alienated by Trump in the primaries.
Pence also commented on the departure of former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, as well as the introduction of new leadership in the form of campaign manager Kellyanne Conway, a longtime Pence pollster, and CEO Steve Bannon, who previously ran the conservative news outlet Breitbart. “I expect that to continue to be evidence of a campaign that’s on a roll”.
