Anyone who’s played golf must have thought about throwing their clubs away at some point (or actually done it), so you should be able to empathize with John Daly.

So the tossed the offending club into Lake Michigan during the PGA Championship at Whistling Straits in Sheboygan, Wis. That’s the ideal ending for a man living the frustrated golfer’s wildest dreams. He did the same with his second tee shot. He hasn’t won since 2004 at Torrey Pines, and he hasn’t had a full PGA Tour card in a decade. If he absolutely had to pick a basketball team it would be the Knicks, but he’d gladly trade them for just one championship for either of his other three teams.

Either way, can’t say I blame Daly for getting angry. A boat swooped by the seventh green, and a kid got Daly’s club and hoisted it up like a trophy.
