The Voice’s special Olympics episode will air Sunday, Aug. 21 at 10:30 p.m. ET on NBC. As in every new season too, NBC likes to show the coaches’ first group performance a long time in advance so people can seriously get the memo that the new season is about to start and to get them on the appetite again for “The Voice”.

Grimmie made it to the final three on the sixth season of The Voice.

Judging by a sneak peek at the new season, which features first-time coaches Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys, it’s going to be eventful.

Also fans will get to hear them sing, not just in flashy performances with co-coaches, but also in a few of their pitches to the young singers they’re trying to get on their teams.

Her strategy appears to be seeking out singers who she feels a connection to.

“I don’t know if we’ve ever had a shake-up like season 11”, Blake Shelton teased in the recent promo for the show, and that came through loud and clear during the premiere. With a full-blown bromance from the ends of veteran coaches Levine and Shelton offering a healthy dose of humour and entertainment during the competition, Cyrus’s grit and “youthful spirit” will be something to look out for. (“When do you breathe?” he joked at one point.) But she doesn’t take it lying down.

As for Miley, she’s excited to be doing what she loves to do: making music.

Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys join the judging panel this September, so obviously things are gonna get insane with them on set.

Cyrus and Keys make sure their musicianship shines brighter than everything else.
