‘Oceanhorn 2: Knights Of The Lost Realm’ Announced By Cornfox & Brothers

Best known for their smartphone or mobile game Oceanhorn: Monsters of Uncharted Seas, developer Cornfox and Bros. recently announced their latest project will be Oceanhorn 2: Knights Of The Lost Realm.

From the first glimpse you can tell that Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm it going to be different, yet similar.

The game will be played from a third person perspective and will feature a combat system with a combination of swordplay, spells and creative use of items.

The developers of the original Oceanhorn finally announced a sequel to the popular title, which first appeared on iOS and Android, then PC and is finally coming to consoles in September.

“Oceanhorn 2 will be built upon the same elements that were the heart and soul of the first Oceanhorn game”, reads the announcement on the Oceanhorn blog, “exploring a colorful world, a deep backstory with secrets and twists, unbelievable music, and most importantly – classic Action RPG gameplay with items, puzzles, battles, and badass bosses!” Additionally, there is a new weapon, the Caster gun, that shoots “magical projectiles”. There are sure to be plenty of improvements, but Oceanhorn 2 will still feature the exploration, music and familiar RPG gameplay that made the original an instant classic. Players must also learn how to use items creatively to solve puzzles and defeat enemies and bosses.

According to Cornfox, Oceanhorn 2 has been in development for a little over a year and the next entry in the series will move players to an entirely new point on the Oceanhorn timeline. It is a dream of running down green fields with the warmth of the sun on your face. It will be an fantastic journey ahead of us and we hope that you will join us on that journey! While Oceanhorn was universally loved by fans and critics alike, there was always a question of whether Cornfox & Bros. could expand and develop this experience into a truly unique offering of its own.
