That’s how Hamilton Police Chief Craig Bucheit described the condition of the pharmacist held at knife point before a fatal officer-involved shooting this morning.

When police arrived, they say they found the robber holding a knife to a pharmacist’s throat. Bucheit said the suspect was holding a knife to a pharmacist’s throat.
“It was a very brief confrontation”, Bucheit said, but he declined to say whether the suspect said anything to officers.
Officials didn’t immediately release details about the officers who were involved. Bucheit says the pharmacist was “shook up”, but not injured.
Police were still trying to identify the man, who was believed to be in his 20s, Bucheit said.
The officer is a nine-year veteran of the department.
The suspect did not comply with police demands and was killed, he said.
Both officers have been placed on administrative leave, according to department policy.
No other information has been released.
The investigation was continuing, and police were reviewing store video.
