Clinton Foundation ‘must be shut down’
“Much of the foundation’s worldwide work, like that of most global NGOs, is funded in part by donor governments’ bilateral aid programs”, Bill Clinton said in a statement on Monday.

Politico’s Gabriel Debenedetti tweeted a portion of the email on Monday afternoon.
The foundation put into effect “unprecedented” protections that were “a big burden” when Clinton became secretary of state in 2009, and would “go even further in terms of disclosure and limits” if she becomes president, Mook said.
In a meeting with foundation staff last week, Clinton told staff that the organization would no longer accept foreign or corporate donations if Hillary Clinton is elected and that the final Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) meeting will be next month. USA election law bars a candidate from accepting donations from foreign entities and corporations, but it makes no such restrictions on who can and cannot cut a check to the family foundation of that same candidate.
Trump said the foundation had received financial contributions from various countries “that discriminated against women and gays and everybody else”.
Voters are about as wary about The Clinton Foundation taking money from citizens in other countries (34 percent), as they are about it taking money from USA companies (35 percent). It’s also much, much smaller than the Clinton Foundation.
The Republican nominee issued a statement Monday morning saying the foundation is “the most corrupt enterprise in political history”.
The letter reads like a valedictory for the vast network of charitable enterprises housed under the Clinton banner and which have drawn scrutiny and criticism for potential conflicts of interest for the Democratic presidential nominee.
News that the foundation plans to alter its fundraising habits came amid allegations that it had some sort of pay-to-play scheme in place when Hillary Clinton served as secretary of state.
On Tuesday, the Trump campaign pointed to an editorial in The Boston Globe titled “Clinton Foundation Should Stop Accepting Funds”.
“Neither of these emails involve the secretary or relate to the Foundation’s work”, Josh Schwerin, a Clinton campaign spokesman, told CNN. “After the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Department of Justice whitewash of the Clinton email crimes, they certainly can not be trusted to quickly or impartially investigate Hillary Clinton’s crimes”, he said.
Republican Vice Presidential candidate Mike Pence and his wife, Karen Pence, take a closer look at the custom fire ring made for them by the hosts of their town hall event, Modern Companies Inc. on Monday, Aug.
He also noted that the official name of the charity will change from the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation to the Clinton Foundation.
