Producers Carl Falk and Rami Yacoub were quick to deny the allegations, stating: “We did not use any samples in Demi Lovato‘s song…”

In November, following the release of “Stars”, Sleigh Bells tweeted at Lovato about the similarities, also mentioning their song “Riot Rhythm”.
Singer Demi Lovato has been accused of stealing material from another successful pop act called Sleigh Bells, Daily Mail Online can reveal.
Sleigh Bells’ complaint, filed in a federal court in California, claimed “Stars” includes parts of “Infinity Guitars”, without so much as an attempt by Lovato, the label, or the producers to clear the alleged sample.
Demi Lovato may be seeing “Stars” following a lawsuit targeting the bonus track on her album “Confident”.
When Demi Lovato’s album Confident came out past year, Sleigh Bells accused the pop singer of sampling their songs “Infinity Guitars” and “Riot Rhythm” on the bonus track “Stars”.
“Defendants did not seek or receive permission from Plaintiffs to copy, take, sample or interpolate any portion of “Infinity Guitars” when creating “Stars, ‘” the suit reads”.
“This infringing material repeats throughout the Defendants” song’.
Sleigh Bells’ complaint notes that “signal decay and other sonic signatures” reveal “virtually identical content” and “transcend the realm of coincidence”, reports THR.
Nearly a year later, Sleigh Bells has come good on their threat and launched legal proceedings against Demi, Universal Music Group and the song’s producers.

‘Demi was also not involved with the production, she only wrote top line’.
