The CEO of the US Olympic Committee, Scott Blackmun, has said that Ryan Lochte and the three other swimmers involved in the Rio robbery scandal will face disciplinary action. Rio police rejected this version of events and accused Lochte and the others of lying.

Ryan Lochte is a competitive swimmer that won 12 Olympic medals in his career, from which six were gold, three silver and three bronze.

Lochte has also apologized to the people of Rio telling Lauer that they had put on “a great Games”.

A spokesman for United Entertainment Group, Speedo U.S.A.’s AOR, said the company will not be doing interviews about its decision.

Bentz and Conger were removed from a plane on Rio’s runway as they attempted to fly home while Feigen was reported to have made a charitable donation of more than £8,000 to have charges of criminal damage and falsely reporting a crime dropped, and to get his passport back.

In his most recent interview with NBC, which was taped in NY and began airing this past weekend, Lochte said he “very intoxicated” and takes “full responsibility” for his actions.

“You told me on the phone, Ryan, you said, ‘We are victims here, ‘” Lauer begins in the preview clip that aired Saturday night on NBC Nightly News. He said that they wanted to get out as quickly as possible so they gave the man their money.

While there have been conflicting versions over whether the guards pulled their weapons on the swimmers, Lochte has since acknowledged he was highly intoxicated and that his behavior led to the confrontation, which resulted in the swimmers paying some $50 in USA and Brazilian currency before they were allowed to leave.

According to the Associated Press, Blackmun said on Sunday that Lochte’s story harmed Brazil by taking the attention away from the 2016 Summer Olympics.

The athletes, who appeared intoxicated, stopped in a taxi at the gas station to use the bathroom during the early hours of the morning.
