– Dodig/Melo became the first team to win the Rogers Cup and the Western & Southern Open back-to-back since Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan did it in 2010.

Andy Murray and Marin Cilic meet Sunday afternoon in the Cincinnati Masters Final.

The second set was a close affair, with Murray broken only in game 11, after saving four break points, and Cilic serving out the match. “Even a year ago I was having some good tournaments but searching still for my game”.

“Oh, I feeled the arm too exhausted”.

“There were some very prolonged discussions about how I can make a difference on that (mental) part”, Raonic told ESPN. It was very humid on the court.

Dimitrov was not particularly solid on serve either, as the 2014 US Open champion levelled the match to force a deciding set. “I’ll try to take the positive things from the match and from the last few weeks to NY”, she said in reference to the upcoming US Open, the year’s final Grand Slam Tournament.

Despite the loss, the British number one was proud of his performances considering he came straight into the tournament on the back of the Olympics. That was enough to recover.

“He’s got one of the biggest serves in the game”, Murray said. He’s won his last 22 matches, a career best. “He’s been on a great run the past couple of months”.

In a rematch between this year’s Wimbledon finalists, Murray, who won that showdown for a second All England Club title before claiming Olympic gold in Rio, was dominant on his way to clinching his 22nd straight win.

“I was just hoping the ball would fly in”, Kerber said. “Obviously today didn’t go how I would have wanted”.

“We’ll keep working to get better”. The consistency of the Brit persisted as he scored another hold to love, proving that he wasn’t slowing down, but his opponent was using his serve to avoid facing any break points.

“I was pretty much behind from that point on and it was tough”. It’s obviously disappointing when you get to the final and don’t win, but it was a very, very positive week considering everything.
